The Community Health Endowment (CHE) was formed in 1998 from the proceeds of the sale of Lincoln General Hospital by the City of Lincoln to Bryan Health. Since inception, CHE has reinvested more than $43.6 million back into the community in grants to support health related projects.

The CHE Board of Trustees is excited to announce that Kate Bolz, a nonprofit executive who has dedicated her professional career to public service, has been named President & CEO. Bolz’s career demonstrates her commitment to improving the lives of those around her. Read more about Kate, here. 

Legacy Project
CHE is ecstatic to announce BraveBe Child Advocacy Center's "Brave fACEs" as a CHE Legacy Project. This groundbreaking initiative is led by BraveBe Child Advocacy Center and is designed to uplift children and families in Lincoln by addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) through education, advocacy, and resources. Funding 
To achieve the vision of making Lincoln the healthiest community in the nation, the CHE board of trustees will make funding available for new projects in the Spring 2025 grant cycle. Applications are due at noon on Friday, February 28. Funding will be available on July 1, 2025. Information about funding can be found on the CHE website.
